Vegas...it's cheap-ish, near the west coast, and no income tax.

I hope you mean .05, pretty sure you could hit .005 by putting after shave on your face.

At this point, I'd say 80% of my sales are in the US. Now, I'm, doing fine exporting the stuff from Canada to the US, but there are some drawbacks...it is still a pain to ship stuff over the border..with all the paperwork, long shipping times and it is expensive...I figure it'd be MUCH easier to do all this from the states, yknow...

But where would be an ideal place to move? I'd like to stick with a place similar to Montreal....a multi-cultural city that has everything, but not a city thats super huge, like LA or NYC...and a place that isnt super white trashy etc...

So whats out there? San Francisco/San Jose? Somewhere in Florida? NJ (nicer parts)? CO?

You would like Burlington VT a lot. Very laid back city, extremely low crime rate.

Yeah, I've been to Vegas many times, it's a lot of fun, but not sure I'd want to live there.

That being said, there's worse places you could choose and the weather is pretty decent.

.05 is whatever. It's those BS checkpoints they use in NV that bother me. Just harassing people doing nothing wrong instead of putting the slightest amount of effort into patrolling for unsafe drivers.

They don't have to fill up their tanks as often if it's idling more.

Anyway. U would like Burlington a lot though if u were from Montreal. I used to spend a lot of time in Montreal and all my friends that come down love Burlington. It's just a very nice little city with good restaurants and places to hang out.

Dallas/Fort Worth area would get you away from your current climate for sure. Main FedEx distribution hub there and great priced real estate at the moment. Central from both costs enabling cost of shipping to be about the same from coast to coast. If you were worried about second amendment type stuff, that also will fit the bill for you.

Edit: #@$% just realized the date of the original post!

Do not move to the Carolinas. They are all full, the weather sucks, the cost of living is too high and there is no good beer. Plus, the beaches and mountains are too inaccessible.

You want to move from a place that gets 80" of snow a year to San Francisco or San Jose? So I take it neither winter sports nor ocean access is part of your equation for "ideal" or "has everything?"

Metro Montreal has a population of four million. There are probably 25 metro regions in the US that size.
