infamous my nhra rulebook says:

as long as the diagonal is the same diameter as the roll bar, is 6" behind your head, rear bars intesect within 5" from the top

you need a cage 10.99 or faster.

The Autopower six point Race Roll Cage kit ($674.95) is NHRA legal at those posted times.

Also legal for other race series, please call for details.

I have seen images in this forum of the race cage installed but I can't seem to find teme just now.

I was originally going to get a 6 point CUSCO from Gruppe-S however your 6 point bolt in race roll cage looks more sturdy for the money..
Three questions
1) Are the front down tubes angled around the dash (like CUSCO's) or do they have to go through the dash vents?
2) What are they made from, steel or chromemoly?
3) Do you have any pics of the 6 point cage installed?
The CUSCO's are already painted blue but with your price difference I could use some of that money to paint your black tubes WRX Blue. : - ) Unless you carry in blue already...that would ROCK!
Could you please PM me with pricing of the 6 point Race cage for a 2003 WRX and 4 pc's of BSCI FIA Homologated padding (blue) to Westerly, RI 02891
Thanks MUCH!!

Hey Charles,

I'll be picking one of these up shortly. I had a few questions first though:

1) Do they come in different colors?
2) Realistically, can people use the rear seats with the 4 point bar? It appears that they cannot.
3) What are the differences between the Street Sport cage and the 4 pt. Race cage? I track my car a few times a month but still drive it on the street. I don't need it to be certified for actual races so are there any advantages to one over the other? Is it possible to quantify how much stronger one is than the other?

Thanks,

Geoff

Sorry to bother again but which cages are certified for NHRA... I believe it's the 6 point one? I'd basically want the simplest cage to meet these certs ( http://tinypic.com/xq9ocp.gif ). Weld-in is also an option so don't be afraid to suggest it! Thanks.

I think the best that we could do is have it shipped to a business somewhere between us and we pick it up from there.

yes...i'm interested in the 4 point race roll bar. Located like 20 minutes from Elgin; wouldn't mind the drive. Not to mention we could install it the same time.

The Autopower products come in gloss black paint or no paint at all.

Well the seats can be retained, you could probably get a person back there in a pinch but it would not be safe.

The Race roll bar adds the diagonal cross brace in the main hoop. This brace adds triagulation which adds strength, rigidity and safety. There has not been any official testing done on the Autopower products so it's tough to quantify the differences.

Both the Race and the Street-Sport give you the proper mounting position for your harnesses. My choice would be the Race with weld in cross braces for $399.90. That's only $25 more than the Street-Sport.

Hi,

For bolt in you would have to go with the full Race Roll Cage from Autopower ($674.95). We do have weld in kits for that car from S&W that start at $169.95 and meet the letter of the NHRA rules for cars going quiker than 11.49 et.

Thanks to all for your intrest in these products!
