Post Caliper difference between sedan and station wagon???

I've tried looking for rear calipers to do a rear conversion on my Impreza and I noticed that the station wagon calipers are different from the sedan.

Does anyone know if the station wagon calipers are the same ones that the 91-94 turbo legacy uses? I think the station wagon calipers have bigger pistons.

Are the station wagon and sedan calipers interchangeable?

I had never noticed that before. Which model year are you looking at? What did you notice that was different? I may have to swing by a dealer this evening and take a look.

yes, roughly from 91-99 the NA sedan's got 35mm piston rear calipers. All turbo's and wagon's got 38mm piston rear calipers. Most everything else is pretty much the same except things like the vented rotors on the turbo, so my guess is they interchange.

The impreza's got this 35/38 split someway so I'd follow the same split used on the legacy to preserve brake balance.
