Cobb Stage 2 biotch!

Default Stage 2 - 93 vs 91?

Ok, I searched and can't find anyone commenting on this.

I know Cobb states a 5hp increase when going to 93 octane from 91, but have you guys noticed much of a difference in seat of the pants feel or on the dyno? Is it worth the extra few cents a litre/gallon?

What about going to 94, that seems to be the only available octane above 91 around my area.

Thanks,
Matt

the 93 octane map makes much more power.

Really, that sucks.

We have 89,91, and 94.

93 I haven't seen in Ontario.

you should be running the highest octane possible. especially when you are running an off the shelf tune.

You're fine running 94 on the 93 map.

Higher octane will prevent detonation. So you want to use the highest possible. ESP. since its an OTS map. Use 94 octane with the 93 map.

Power wise I DOUBT (not positive) you can "feel" the difference. But the engine will know the difference, its more of an engine operating safely thing rather then feel in the seat thing.

I have ran the 91 oct map (with 91 oct fuel) and the 93 oct map (with 94 oct fuel)......I ran each for a week and couldnt tell the difference between the two. I think the only difference you see is on a dyno.

...jesus....the 91 map was a LOT less powerful than the 93 map.........and the ST only comes with 91 base maps so ya gotta tune up a base map as a realtime map.

I just got done tuning a bit with ST and the car is quick now
