Question Anyone familiar with MSD ignitions?

I'm looking to put in an MSD ignition with a two step for some sick launches, but I don't know enough about them to get the right one, that is if I can get one.
I spoke to someone in MSD's tech department and he said there are a few different models. One requires you to have a distributor and a coil on your car (which we dont).
Another model requires that you can separate the coil and the ignitor. Is this possible. If so, is it hard. If so, should I bother. Also, will my current electronics (SAFC, ITC and EVC-4) work with the MSD??
Help please!!!

I have heard of the 300ZX TT boys using them on their cars.. but it was the HKS one i think... Not sure I will have to check...

But anyway...

Alot of the guys had 500 or better horsepower to actually find a decent gain... but at the same time... On my friends 88 GTi 16v he had a Jacobs Ignition system and it changed the car dramatically...

So... to answer your question don't know... but give it a try be like AL and be the test mule... and Talk with the Manufacturer to find out ... couldn't hurt

:monkey: is that his middle finger?

I have run a 7als "pro stock box" in my drag car (american based V-8) for years. that thing will throw one VERY HEALTHY spark but..... I don't think it would be worth the effort to "try" and put one in one of these just so you can have a 2-step, but then again it's just my opinion. If you gotta do it, ya gotta do it!
