I ran a [email protected] on Cobb Stg 2. I dont have the time slip because I ran against my bro in his s2000 and he finally ran into the 12's so I let him have both. (those things take alot of work!!)

I plan on going again tomorrow to try to meet or beat that time. I feel that there is a little left in it but I dont think I'd be able to drive into the 12's with this OTS map.

I had: spare, jack/tools , all mats removed, that wood cover thing out, 1/8th tank of gas maybe less. Kartboy SS. Cobb CATTED tbe w/ cobb OTS 93 octane stg 2 map with 94 octane in the tank.

....

Nice times on the OTS map!! You should really get it protuned after the turbo. I plan on getting a protune on the stg2 and leaving it like that while I work on the suspension, wheels and tires...

Congrats on those great runs!

I'll have my '06 at Stage 2 very soon (as soon as my Cobb DP arrives), so I'm very happy to see you guys running low 13s! I may go with water/alchohol injection and a Protune on top of Stage 2 to break the 12 second barrier.

FP18G or VF39 turbo and STI (or larger) TMIC, + everything from stg2 (TBE & AP)

I think the stg 3 is suppose to make something like 40 more HP but I don't remember. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope to be ordering a larger TMIC next week, already have the VF39 in the garage

Ah damn this gets me excited for when I go Stage 2 with my car, Only 3 more days till I order my AP, Still waiting on my downpipe from Slowboyracing, its been over a week and still nothing. Ah well Good things come to those who wait. AWESOME times by the way dude. And I have to say in all the forums Ive gone to Ive never seen someone act so mature when they were proven wrong. +1 to balex5884, by the way , did the grounding system give you any kind of HP increase, or could you even tell? Ive seen of some grounding systems on a WRX giving 10hp.

I could not tell any difference in power, however, my headlights used to dim a little when i put both of my front windows at the same time down, after the grounding kit, it doesnt do it anymore, so i figured its doing something and for a $10 mod it was more then worth it.

Here's a comparison between a VF39 (base) vs 18G (test) that Christian @ Cobb posted a little while back for the 2006 WRX.

Take care,
Christian.

with the OTS mapping they are probably very similar but the 18g has alot more potential then the vf39. Even with the OTS mapping if you look at the current map notes the vf39 is running 27x hp while the 18g is 29x hp. With a protune you can easily knock the hp of the 18g way over 300. The vf39 will probably hang around or below 300 with a protune and no other mods beside what Cobb has.

That being said I'm still going with the vf39 because of price and I just like the vf series. nothing against the mitsu since they are probably better all around just not my perference

That's a record that many '06 WRX owners will care about! That's freaking fast. A few '02-'05 WRX owners were surmising at one point that a 1.7 60ft wasn't likely with a stock '06 WRX due to the taller 3.70 gears (vs 3.90 on the previous WRXs).
